Welcome!Friends of Jimmy Gartenberg, along with The University of Michigan Clubs of Greater Chicago and New York City, wish to extend an invitation to the 8th Annual James M. Gartenberg Memorial Golf Outing, an event supporting the James M. Gartenberg Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Jimmy Gartenberg, a 1987 graduate of the University of Michigan, was a former president of the U-M Alumni Club of New York and member of the National Advisory Committee for the U-M Library. Gartenberg Memorial Golf OutingPlease consider joining us for a golf outing on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010, at the Pine Meadow Golf Course in Mundelein. We would be honored if you would help us in remembering those we lost on September 11th, while enriching the lives of others through the Memorial Scholarship Fund established in his name. Last year, we raised over $125,000 for the Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarship monies for students from the five boroughs of NYC to attend the University of Michigan. In the last 5 years we have raised over $350,000 Matching Gifts for the Scholarship FundUniversity President Mary Sue Coleman unveiled a new matching gift program: all gifts to “need-based scholarships” will be matched, dollar for dollar. This includes all gifts made to the James Gartenberg Scholarship Fund through December 31, 2009, AND all pledges made through December 31, 2009. The first pledge payment must be received by December 31, 2009, and only those pledge payments made through December 31, 2009 will be matched. Click here to make a contribution. |
